Many air and water flow problems can be understood and solved using classical calculations. Our consultants don't use CFD and will refer a customer to a specialised consultancy if their problem is too complicated for a classical approach. If CFD can be avoided, a fluid flow problem can often be modelled in a simple way and an optimum solution found quickly. The first 80 years of flight, the moon landings, hydrofoils and world water speed record were all achieved with classical calculations.
